KAZEUROMOBILE in Kazakhstan Implements the Scrooge Platform
KAZEUROMOBILE, a Kazakhstan-based company within the international VEON Group, has implemented the Scrooge platform by Lime Systems, extending its financial service capabilities in the mobile finance sector.
This project marks the first deployment of Scrooge in mobile financial services, demonstrating the platform’s flexibility and functional depth beyond traditional banking environments.
The implementation involved several core Lime Systems solutions: the Scrooge core banking platform, the CTS financial authorization system, and WebPlatform, which enabled integration with KAZEUROMOBILE’s internal and external systems.
As part of the project, more than 3 million customers were migrated to the Scrooge platform.
With the new platform in place, KAZEUROMOBILE can support a broader range of financial services, including prepaid card issuance and servicing, electronic wallets, cashback calculation, funding from mobile operator accounts integrated with the billing system, and other operational scenarios.
The project was delivered in line with both KAZEUROMOBILE’s business requirements and the regulatory framework of the Republic of Kazakhstan, including financial monitoring and regulatory reporting.
Thanks to the coordinated work of the Lime Systems and KAZEUROMOBILE teams, a significant scope of work was completed within a tight timeframe. The implemented solutions meet the high standards of a leading telecommunications operator in Kazakhstan, address the company’s current business needs, and create opportunities for further system development.
The success of this project was driven by KAZEUROMOBILE’s strong involvement and clear focus on a meaningful result. The capabilities of our platform and the expertise of our project team allowed us to deliver this ambitious project in a new sector for Lime Systems — mobile financial services.
